So precooling of competition is more and more popular in modern sports. In 2008 DS Kool cooling vest finally goes on the Olympic Games stage.

The vests are filled with circulating water that stays cool at normal air-conditioned room temperatures. When the vest is worn, the circulating water draws heat from the body. Returning the vest to an air-conditioned room reactivates it for cooling the body again.

The vest's cooling technologies may also be used to treat medical conditions. Applications might include multiple sclerosis where heat worsens symptoms like hand tremors and dizziness. Intensive care units may also use the technology to treat neurological and cardiac trauma.
